Pocket Tools (pocketstools.com) is operated by an individual developer based in the Republic of Korea. This policy explains what the products access, what leaves your device, and what is stored. Contact: [email protected]
A product not listed in this section is not published by Pocket Tools.
Shows every match before anything changes, then replaces text and formatting in the open document. It requests two permissions and nothing else:
| Permission | What Google calls it | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|
documents.currentonly |
See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Docs document you use this add-on in | To find matches and to make the replacements you ask for. This is the narrowest document permission Google offers β it grants access to the one open document and to nothing else in your Drive. |
script.container.ui |
Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications | To draw the add-on's sidebar. It is what puts the panel on screen; it grants no access to your data. |
The add-on does not request access to Drive, to your other documents, to your email, to your contacts, or to your Google profile.
A few things you choose are saved using Google's Apps Script Properties Service. This data is stored by Google inside your own account, is scoped to the product, and is not readable by the developer:
Nothing else is stored. The document's contents are read into memory while a search runs and are gone when it finishes.
For free features, nothing is sent outside Google's infrastructure.
If you activate a paid licence, the product sends only the licence key and an anonymous installation identifier to the payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) in order to verify that the licence is valid. Document content, file names, and personal information are never included in this request. Payment details are handled entirely by the payment provider, who acts as merchant of record; the developer never receives or stores your card information.
This section applies to the Google Workspace add-ons listed above.
Pocket Tools's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
Because no document content is stored, there is nothing to delete on the developer's side. Uninstalling the product removes its stored settings along with its authorisation. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
The products are not directed at children under 13 and no data is knowingly collected from them.
Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the products after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
